MMD MoJ AR Training Centre for TB Control in Prisons, established in March, 2012 with the purpose to upgrade knowledge, capacity and professional competence of penitentiary system medical and nonmedical staff; sharing experience and advanced knowledge on TB-control in Prisons with national and international specialists, has been designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as WHO Collaborating Centre (СС) on prevention and control of TB in Prisons in March of the current year. WHO CC Training Centre will promote WHO tuberculosis strategies and guidelines through high quality, evidence based education on tuberculosis control in prisons and by support to WHO and technical assistance to worldwide national tuberculosis programmes and tuberculosis programmes in prisons.
